Returned with the #3 engine feathered, bombsight wrecked, rafts shredded, starboard aileron inoperable, starboard wing root & port aileron damaged, and 2 casualties.  Claims: Two Me-109s by Sgt. Masterson, one Fw-109 by Sgt. Lopez and one Me-110 by Sgt. McDonald.  Four Me-109s and one Fw-190 claimed as damaged.

Took BIP in waist section approaching target, fell out-of-formation but managed to return to base severely damaged and with 6 casualties.  Aircraft beyond economical repair, classified as Category E.  Claims: 1 Me-109 each by 2nd Lt. Blackmore and Sgts. Ferrelli and MacDonald.  One Fw-190 each by Sgts Ferrelli and Sgt MacDonald.  Replacements: Sgt Billy Fielding (Ball); Sgt Al Pancetti (Starboard Waist); Sgt Jerry Kemper (Port Waist); SSgt Frank Lowe (Engineer).
