Crew lighten ship and threw everything overboard to extend time in air. Arrived at base, 5 men bailed out, leaving pilot and flight engineer to land plane with seriously wounded radioman on board. Plane attempted belly-landing and plane crashed attempting to land. Pilot and flight engineer survived crash with minor injuries but radioman was killed in crash. Aircraft classified as Category E. |
