 New crew replacement aircraft for Raid Hot Mama. Aircraft returned with tail wheel inoperable, radio knocked out, damaged rudder, superficial damage to the starboard wing (2), to the bomb bay (1), radio room (1), waist (3) & tail (1) compartments (134 damage points) and 3 casualties. Claims:  1 Fw-190 & 1 Me-110 by Sgt. Bigelow, 1 Fw-190 by Sgt. Thompson, 1 Me-109 by Lt. Duncan. Replacement: 2nd Lt. Edwards. Temporary replacement: Sgts. Campbell, Bridges & Cox.

Returned with the starboard wing fuel tank leaking, tail compartment heating system inoperable and damage to the flight deck windshields (2) and 1 casualty.  Claims:  1 Fw-190 by Sgt. Thompson and 1 Me-109 by Sgt. Campbell. Temporary replacement: 2nd Lt. Phelps.
