New crew replacements from the USA. Returned without damage or casualties.

Returned with bomb controls, autopilot, nose compartment heating system, rudder, port aileron, aileron controls, tail-wheel inoperable; rubber rafts shot up, structural damage to the port wing root, to the starboard tail plane; damage to the oxygen systems in the nose & tail compartments; lots of holes in a/c, 6 battle casualties and 1 case of frostbite.  Claims: 1 Me-109 and 1 Me 110 by Sgt. Phelan. Replacements: 2nd Lts. McCoy &, Finster, Tsgt. Bailey, & Sgt. Hollard.  Temporary replacements: Sgts. Hooker and Carbone.

Returned with propeller feathering controls shot away, damage to the control cables and to the starboard waist gunner's oxygen system, superficial damage to wings and fuselage, and 1 casualty.  Claims: 1 Fw-190 by Sgt. Phelan and 1 Fw-190 shared by Sgt. Hooker and TSgt. Bailey. Temporary replacements: 2nd Lt. Lanowski

Sgt. Mitchell rejoins crew. Returned with port main landing gear inoperable, bombardier and pilot's heating system, tail turret guns, port wing ailerons and flaps inoperable, damage to the port outboard fuel tank (self-sealed) and wing root, numerous superficial holes and damage all over the aircraft, and 3 casualties and 2 cases of frostbite.
